The woman, who was visiting Israel from the United States with her family and friends, had been attending the Hamas festival before the attack. After narrowly escaping the attack, she told her story to a synagogue in Washington, D.C., the day she returned. In her address, she shared her immediate thought process leading up to, during, and after the event. She implored her audience to “take a stand against violence and terrorism, and stand up for what is right.”
