The largest democratic election in human history was held in India, spanning from April 11 to May 19, 2019. This was the 17th Lok Sabha (House of the People) election in which around 900 million eligible voters participated. The exact dates for future elections have not been set yet, as it depends on the election commission’s decision which is usually announced a few months prior to the elections.
