According to a report from Politico, Hunter Biden’s business associate, Devon Archer, met with former Secretary of State John Kerry in March 2016. At the time, Kerry was heavily involved in negotiations with Ukraine’s then-Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and then-President Petro Poroshenko on approving IMF aid to the country. Around the same time, a massive corruption investigation was launched against former Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Viktor Shokin. Just weeks after Archer met with Kerry, Shokin was fired. It’s not clear what was discussed at the meeting, but the timing has raised questions about what, if any, role Kerry or Archer may have had in the firing of Shokin.
