Israel’s plan for Gaza is to bring stability to the region and protect its citizens from rocket attacks originating from Gaza while preventing Hamas from building its military capabilities. To accomplish this, Israel has increased security measures along the border, imposed a blockade on Gaza, carried out aerial and ground attacks against Hamas targets, and made efforts to close border tunnels used to smuggle weapons. Israel is also pushing for a diplomatic solution with Hamas to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict, but is still prepared to use force if necessary.
