TV chef Jamie Oliver has announced that he is closing his Michelin-starred restaurant in London after 15 years, citing the need for a better work/life balance. The TV chef said in a statement: “In the wider interests of my family, I have decided that the West End jamie couldn’t offer me the necessary work/life balance I was striving for.” The restaurant, which opened in 2002, has held a star from the world-famous restaurant guide since 2011. Oliver thanked his staff and customers “for many wonderful and rewarding years”, adding that the closure is a “sad occasion”.
