No longer ‘any dispute’ Biden ‘lied’ about never talking business with Hunter: GOP lawmaker

There is no longer any dispute that former Vice President Joe Biden lied about never talking business with his son, Hunter, according to a Republican lawmaker.

Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) recently tweeted his criticism of Biden’s comments saying, “There’s no longer any dispute: Joe Biden lied when he said he ‘never’ talked business with Hunter.” Banks was responding to recently released emails showing the exchange between Biden’s son, Hunter, and former Ukrainian energy executive, Vadym Pozharskyi, with whom Biden had talked business.

Though Biden has long claimed he never spoke with his son on any kind of business, the emails show Pozharskyi thanking the former vice president for “giving an opportunity” to Hunter in one of his business ventures. Though the emails do not show Biden directly discussing business with Hunter, Banks argues his comments on the matter have been misleading.

“This goes directly against what Joe Biden has claimed publicly and in debates,” said Banks.
