Kennedy’s Supreme Court legacy is being erased, in part by past clerks

Kennedy’s legacy on the Supreme Court is certainly being eroded over time. justices appointed by President Donald Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell are creating more conservative majorities in the court, and some of Kennedy’s decisions — particularly those concerning issues such as abortion and LGBT rights — are gradually being overturned. Additionally, many of his clerks have become federal judges in conservative circuits, creating a judicial system more favorable to conservative principles. As such, Kennedy’s influence is slowly being undone.
