According to reports in the Israeli press, a group of dozens of family members of Israeli hostages in Syria, Iraq and Gaza are marching from northern Israel to Jerusalem in order to demand that the government take action and bring their family members home safely. The march is led by an organization called Salma, which seeks to bring attention to the plight of Israeli hostages abroad. During the march, the families will be meeting with various government officials to make their case and demand an increase in government efforts to secure their release. The organization is calling on the government to take a range of measures from pressuring the relevant governing authorities to negotiating with them directly to exchange prisoners for the hostages.
