Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) recently called for an investigation into government workers receiving pay without actually performing any work. According to Ernst, her office has received complaints about remote workers continuing to get paid without actually doing their jobs. She is calling for a thorough investigation into the matter and that potentially those people could face repercussions if they are found to have committed fraud. Ernst said, “We’re coming after them.”
