Rep. Goldman and his family experience first-hand the dangers of the conflict in Israel when a Hamas rocket strikes a house in the town of Sederot, while they were attending a Bar Mitzvah. They were reportedly able to take shelter in a nearby shelter. They were very grateful that no one was injured in the incident and commended IDF soldiers for their speedy response. He released a statement saying, “We were filled with deep gratitude to see the swift response of the Israeli Defense Forces, who immediately dispatched assistance to ensure the safety and security of the citizens of Sederot. We are thanking God that no one was injured during this incident. This is another reminder of just how dangerous the conflict with Hamas is. We stand in solidarity with the Israelis who live under the constant threat of this out of control terrorist organization.”
