Hunter Biden offers to testify publicly before House panel

Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, has offered to testify publicly before the U.S. House of Representatives Intelligence Committee as part of the panel’s investigation into the Ukraine scandal.

Hunter Biden’s lawyer, George Mesires, told Reuters on Wednesday that he had offered to testify before the Intelligence Committee chaired by Representative Adam Schiff.

“Mr. Biden today offered to testify voluntarily before the House Intelligence Committee regarding his work in Ukraine, and we have not received a response,” Mesires said.

It is unclear whether Schiff will accept the offer. However, if he does, Hunter Biden will likely be the first member of the Biden family to testify in a congressional inquiry.
