This new Hubble Space Telescope and James Webb Space Telescope image of Uranus has revealed hidden rings and other unusual features of the gas giant previously unseen. In a stunning new image, astronomers were able to spot two of the planet’s faint outer rings, as well as evidence of clouds in the planet’s atmosphere. The new image also reveals the planet’s unique north and south poles, two located regions of raised and lower temperatures due to the planet’s unusual orientation and tilt.
